Vegas, Baby!

Yes I went to Vegas.  Yes I brought my baby.  And no I did not do anything crazy in Vegas :).  I mostly just hung out at the hotel, hung out with my dad when he was free, and took a little stroll to the M&M Factory because someday Thomas will love them as much as I do ;)

Anyway, the back story to this is that Matt was leaving to go out of town for a week and I didn't want to be home alone while he was "partying it up" with his BYU friends at an acoustics conference in Philadelphia.  So the day after Matt left for Pennsylvania I decided to meet up with my dad in Las Vegas.  I caravanned down with my brother and sister-in-law on their way to Arizona and then Thomas and I got to spend two days away from our house which helped us not miss Matt so much.  It's rough being home by yourself with a baby for a week.  Everything was fine, but I am incredibly grateful for Matt.  He's a pretty great man.  Anyway, here's a peak at our stay in Vegas.

The only game that would ever tempt me in Las Vegas (I totally won Deal or No Deal at the arcade the very first time I played.. no big deal).

Hanging out with the M&M crew.  Some of you probably read this on I
nstagram, but it was after I took this picture these old ladies were in shock that he smiled for me when I asked him to.  Then they went off about how he's going to be great at selfies someday.  It cracked me up.

After Thomas basically ate more than I did at the all you can eat breakfast buffet.  And in case you can't tell, he's turned almost all the way around to his right so that he's facing left.  Crazy kid.  I told you he doesn't stay still anymore ;)

The entertainment for the day at the Aria pool.  It was Thomas' first time really swimming in a pool and he LOVED it!  He was splashing like crazy and we floated around and played for like two hours.  It made me really excited for the summer, too.

Yes I made him wear the floppy hat.  I hate these hats, but I couldn't let my semi-pasty little buddy burn.  He's still pretty cute even if he is all covered up.  Oh and the whale?  Best $5 ever spent.

He's making a funny face, but he sure does look cute in his little swimsuit :)

Saying goodbye to grandpa after hanging out for a couple days.  Thanks for spoiling us and helping us have a great time, Dad!

10 Months

Thomas is ten months now.  I can't believe we're in double digits.  This past month has been a roller coaster.  We love our little guy so much and he cracks us up, but he definitely keeps us on our toes.  He loves to explore and get into everything.  He hardly ever stays still, but he is so fun to watch because he's incredibly curious. Thomas is becoming more opinionated and more vocal everyday.  He's not saying any words yet, but he's starting to communicate  a little more and it's been fun (and hard) to learn what he wants.  Thomas is such a cutie.  We love our busy little boy.

*** Thomas also finally started crawling for real instead of army crawling about a week after he turned ten months.  Sometimes I miss his cute little scoot, but he's very proud of himself for being able to move everywhere now.

The unfortunate "smile" Thomas makes sometimes.  Oh and if you can't tell from his cheesy grin... he has five teeth now

9 Months

9 months is such a fun stage of life.  Thomas is a happy, noisy little guy who just started scooting around after his 9 month point.  For a while he just moved backwards and turned in circles in order to get where he wanted to go, but he finally started moving forward and I love it.  He clasps his hands together and does the cutest little scoot/army crawl you've ever seen.  It's also pretty adorable that he breathes so hard when he does it.

Thomas is still pretty easy going, but not all the time.  He's getting a little more opinionated and recently started screaming from time to time when he wants or needs something.  I'm sure he's just trying to communicate with me somehow, but it's been a fun little rough trying to anticipate his needs so that he doesn't scream so much.

Thomas still eats like a champ... and I do mean a champ.  He eats basically everything we eat now as long as it's soft enough for him.  Usually he ends up in a giant mess after dinner, but I'm glad he loves it.  His favorite foods right now are definitely avocado (like an entire avocado), strawberries, and anything with cheese.

It snowed on his 9 month mark.  Dang Utah... randomly snowing in the middle of April.

My favorite guys in the whole world.

Anyway, we are loving our little man.  He is such a funny little guy and he keeps us on our toes.  It's fun to see his personality starting to come out.  More and more I see little bits of Matt and I in him (especially Matt :) ). I'm so glad he's a part of our little family.

Museum of Curiosity

About a month ago I took Thomas to the Museum of Curiosity up at Thanksgiving Point.  We went with my friend Kortney, two of her aunts, and some of her cousins.  It was really fun, but super crowded because we went during spring break.  Anyway, the grounds were beautiful and it was all great, but the best part was DEFINITELY this water table.  Thomas was sooo happy.  Everyone kept saying how cute and interactive he was with the water (even all the parents of kids right next to him).  He definitely stole the show for those fifteen minutes while he got soaked.  It was adorable.

Easter 2015

Easter weekend was extra busy this year since it was also General Conference weekend.  I tried to be on top of things by making my cinnamon rolls on Friday and having all of Matt's and Thomas' Easter basket gifts ready, but it was still pretty crazy on Sunday.  We had a wonderful time listening to General Conference.  On Sunday morning we had some friends over and had breakfast together.  Then we did Easter baskets as a family SUPER FAST and headed up to Matt's sister's house for the afternoon session of conference and Easter dinner.

Being up with Matt's sister and her family was a lot of fun.  We love hanging out with them and it was really cute to see Eliza and Jonathan play with Thomas.  He always had a million toys around him which cracked me up, but he was in heaven.  Dinner was amazing as always thanks to Steph (and no thanks to my rolls that got flat in the car on the way over) and we had a great time.  I'm so grateful for our family.

I also took some pictures of my little rabbit boy because I'm obsessed with him.  I couldn't resist so here are some lovelies of him in the grass.  Most of the time he was actually trying to eat the grass like a real rabbit.

"Easter Sunday"... it was actually a week before Easter.

Cute cousins.  Thomas loves Jonathan and Eliza so much.  I love them too... and I love that they're so great at entertaining him :)

How could anyone not love this little guy?  We are totally smitten.
