Granny Becc

So I recently celebrated the 100th day of school with my class and it was a huge hit!  My students all dressed up like they were 100 years old and we did a bunch of activities that were centered around the number 100.  I of course had to dress up with my class so as embarrassing and this was, I looked like this all day around the parents, the staff, and the students at my school.  Was I a little embarrassed?  Yes.  Do I regret it?  No.  I was a pretty cool teacher that day and that's enough for me.  Sarah even dressed up with me so we had a good time.

Matt's Birthday Bash

A few months ago Matt mentioned that he wanted a piƱata for his birthday so I stowed that thought away for a while and we ended up with Chavo on his birthday.  When I was at the store I just picked the funniest/coolest looking pinata but Matt was laughing when I showed him because apparently he's some famous Mexican TV character that is really a grown man dressed up like a little boy.  ANYWAY, we invited some friends over and let's just say Chavo is no longer part of the family.

Poor Chavo... better luck next time.

Party of 3

So... we announced this a couple months ago, but we're having a baby!  In case you didn't see it on Instagram or Facebook before... here's our little announcement.  We feel so blessed and are so excited to welcome a little babe into our family soon.  I'm due on July 11th so hopefully the next four and a half months fly by!

Thanks Megan for taking these pics of us!

Grateful

Recently I have been feeling so grateful for all the amazing people in my life.  A couple months ago I got to see some of my best friends and I just can't help thinking about how much Heavenly Father has blessed my life with good influences.  I'm so grateful for such wonderful friends who have been there for me since junior high and high school.

Mesa Trip for Christmas 2013

So my goal of blogging one a week in 2014 obviously hasn't been my biggest priority.  For the record, some of my other goals have gone a lot better than this one, but I'm not a great blogger.  Anyway, I'm finally trying to catch up so here's a recap of our Mesa Adventure.

Matt and I are both from Mesa so going home is always really fun and pretty busy.  We started at my house, stayed at Matt's parents'  house for a while and then went back to my house for a couple days when his parents headed up to Utah.  Over all it was a really fun trip.  I was especially excited because I finally got to use my new camera where it wasn't freezing cold!

Mesa Temple Trip
I love this temple.  It's so pretty.

I'm so grateful for my parents.  They are incredible people.
Matt posing so I could check the lighting for the pic haha.

Matt said that we have another picture almost just like this from last year and I told him that I hope to have one from every year that we're married :)

Christmas Eve nativity story with my family...
Sydney and Tim.  They made a very cute Joseph and Mary.

CHRISTMAS!!
Love Matt's sister Sarah.  I kinda think she's hilarious.

Haha and I love Matt's parents.  His dad's face kills me in this picture.  This is their reaction to the pj's and cozy mugs we got them for Christmas this year.

Aaaand back at my house Matt was getting ready to open his big kahuna.  I might have shipped this to my parent's house, used a credit card that Matt couldn't track online, and shoved several of The Work and the Glory books in this box to keep this present a surprise, but he got a Wii U!

He was pretty excited :) and so was I because I FINALLY surprised him with something!

Here's little Sydo again.  She's adorable.  Oh and Kenzie in the background :)

Merry (late) Christmas everybody!

Here's some pictures of AZ and Matt's nieces and nephews.  I had fun taking pictures of them on the trampoline.  Oh and if you didn't already know this... I have a serious love for fire hydrants.

Matt & Abby.  Isn't he going to be the best daddy ever?  Yeah, I think so too.

David.

Savannah... love her hair!

New Year's Eve
For New Year's Eve we were back at my family's house and the men shot off a bunch of fireworks.  I'm so glad that Matt gets along so well with my brothers.

This is where things got crazy and Mike started shooting them off in his hand.

We also got to go to the Arizona Science Center in downtown Phoenix.  Matt loved teaching me all about physics and science and it was fun to hear about the things he's passionate about.

Date Idea

Back at the beginning of December, Matt had the idea to go geocaching for Family Home Evening.  I was a little skeptical at first, but it turned out to be a lot of fun.  After downloading a free app, we quickly found out that there were a ton of spots in Provo so we put our shoes on, walked a couple blocks, and found five geocaching spots right by our apartment.  A lot of the "treasures" we found were really lame, but it was fun to go on a hunt together.  If you're ever bored you should totally give it a shot.  Oh and just so you know... I think it would be a lot easier earlier in the day.  It's kinda hard to spot tiny, hidden things when it's dark outside haha.  Here are a couple pics of our fun little adventure we took.  I'm hoping we can do it again this summer when it's not so cold... and dark.

This probably isn't the most sanitary activity, but it's fun :)

This was when we were hunting by the donut shop.  We felt like major creepers for sneaking around.
