We decided to celebrate the night before Valentine's Day because my brother and his wife offered to babysit Thomas for us that night (thanks!). Matt was planning the date and it turned out to be the perfect and simple date that I was hoping for. We got takeout from Zupas and then drove up Provo Canyon to a park that we've gone to a few times. Then we put the back seat down in our awesome, new (to us) Santa Fe and ate dinner while we watched"Mom's Night Out" on Matt's computer. It was so fun and again, simple. Really all I wanted for Valentine's Day was to spend time alone as a couple and that's just what we did. It was so great. We were home by nine, and Matt was asleep by ten. Some party animals, right? I guess he was really tired from his long week as a grad student. Anyway... Valentine's Day 2015? Pretty great in my book.
Oh and my other favorite part of this holiday was having an excuse to take more pictures of Thomas :). I set up a little backdrop in his room and had way too much fun taking pictures of him. It was a great excuse to practice using my camera in manual with my new fixed 50 lens and it was a great way to pass the time before the little guy's nap.
I am so grateful for these boys in my life who I love so much. I am especially grateful that God put such wonderful people on this earth for me to love. They are my favorite. I am truly blessed.
Best 33 cents I ever spent :)
So sweet.
Umm... look at that cute little posed arm. It wasn't me, but I love it.
And... he's eating the backdrop. No surprise there.
Oh and my mom sent us a package for Valentine's Day :) It definitely made us feel the love.
Happy Valentine's Day from the Caltons!
These are adorable pictures of Thomas!
